ME

Hello, my name is Aaron and I’m a budding entrepreneur, innovative Web 2.0 strategist, avid blogger, small business marketing superstar and an always improving father. I live in San Luis Obispo, CA, one of the most beautiful places on earth. I wake up everyday thankful for the opportunity to live and grow here.

My Day

My day consists of playing like a little kid with my girls, writing daily on several blogs, reading the articles on many, many other blogs, crafting small business marketing plans, brainstorming new business ideas, studying the phenomenon known as Web 2.0 (ideas such as The Long Tail, Crowdsourcing and User Generated Content), contemplating life, listening to music and whenever possible, watching a movie.

My Work

I graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 2000 with a degree in journalism and public relations. I spent my first years out of school as a journalist and learned many valuable skills, as well as how the media works. The past 4-5 years, I have been studying how to leverage the media and the Internet to help strengthen small businesses. After working for and helping to triple the size of two small businesses, I decided it was time to start my own company and help more small businesses succeed, and Prevail PR was born.

My Philosophy

I named my company Prevail for the fact that I not only made numerous decisions in my life that put me through the School of Hard Knocks, but also that I built it out of absolutely nothing. Through the setbacks, I learned that there are no problems, only solutions, and that when we look back on life, the hard times and how we got through them are those that make us who we are. With this attitude, I’ve consistently reached goal after goal in my life, prevailing over my competition (me!) each time.

My Site

This web site has two purposes: to capture my daily thoughts on life, Web 2.0, business, marketing and being a parent, and to serve as a portal to my other projects on the Internet.
